SORRY, WE ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED

Multi-Wear Maternity Clothing

At NINE+QUARTER HQ we’re getting ready to release an exciting new collection for AW20...Effortlessly-cool, organic maternity and breastfeeding clothing that can ensure your wardrobe sees you through the next year. We’re so excited about the new range that we wanted to give you a little bit of backstory about the ethos behind it, as well as share some sneak peaks of the collection with you!

Why Multi-Wear?

When we created NINE+QUARTER, we wanted to fill a gap in maternity fashion. Everywhere we looked, maternity-wear was either cheaply-made and plain (polka dotted or bretton striped) or very very high-end. We set out to create maternity and breastfeeding clothing that was as comfortable as it was stylish. Clothing that reflected the personality of the wearer, without sacrificing on fit or comfort.

Whilst we offer some maternity or nursing only tops we are increasingly moving towards 'multi-wear clothing', in essence, tops that can be worn during pregnancy and also after, with the added benefit of being breastfeeding-friendly

We created our multi-wear clothing to adapt to the changes of the body during pregnancy and breastfeeding, stretching to accommodate your bump without becoming saggy post-pregnancy. Not only does this mean you don’t need to replace your wardrobe every few months, it also helps to reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry.

We knew that by making quality, adaptable multi-wear, we could offer a better solution for eco-conscious and savvy mamas. Too often, maternity wear is designed to be worn only for a brief period during (one) pregnancy and then discarded, making its way to landfill.

Not only do NINE+QUARTER make sure you look and feel amazing, we also offer a better cost-per-wear value. We love it when our customers tell us that they carry on wearing their fave tees post pregnancy and breastfeeding or have gifted them on to friends or are even planning to save them for another pregnancy!

NINE+QUARTER, Maternity and Nursing Wear AW20

As part of the process of designing a new collection, we consider how the style and fabric can be used to create the most wearable piece of clothing. Sometimes, a certain style is best suited purely for maternity wear, but increasingly, we find that by thinking outside the box, we can create a gorgeous top that effortlessly transitions from maternity to breastfeeding without making sacrifices to its quality or aesthetic.

We don’t want to do boring maternity clothing. Our styles are edgy, bold, fun and with tons of personality, hopefully making you feel as excited on the outside as you feel on the inside.

The fabulous blue ‘Power of Love’ sweat is our bestselling top. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love to cozy down in a beautiful sweat?! So in our AW20 range we’re bringing you four more printed sweatshirts made in a soft, stretchy, organic cotton /elastane blend that are designed to fit and flatter your growing bump during pregnancy. Each of our sweatshirts has invisible side zips, which allow you to breastfeed comfortably once the weather turns chilly. Unlike fast-fashion options you’ll find on the high-street, this means that one sweatshirt can see you through pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond.

We also know that every pregnancy wardrobe needs a few staple pieces, which is why we’re releasing three new maternity and breastfeeding vest tops. Two of our tanks benefit from the same clever side-zip whilst our third tank is double-layered, so you can lift the outer layer to nurse while keeping everything else covered.

And there’s more! We’re super excited to show you what we’ve been working on, so stay tuned and make sure you subscribe to our mailing list if you want to be the first to know when we’re releasing our newest collection of maternity and breastfeeding clothing.

Not ready to say goodbye to summer? Stock up on our warm weather favourites before they’re gone!
